There she floundered at the coast
her fins waved at absolution
Sunk underneath toom tummy
her eyes were red in tooth and claw
I saw a dying one
collapsed in the throes of agony
hastily yanked on the bathed sand
lucent line like that of pristine water
I heard a moaning one
crying aloud to the shore
her tone told me there was no more story
slammed into roaring tides
I witnessed a succumbing one
Her wail died on the vine
